How a Plant Problem Became Our Purpose

During the pandemic lockdown, Travis (a sustainability-minded hobbyist) noticed that every soil on the market was holding too much water, leading to root rot, fungus gnats, and a lot of damaged plants. So he did something about it. Over a thousand hours of research and collaboration with soil scientists and botanists later, Sol Soils was born: chunky, fast-draining mixes designed to make growing plants easier for everyone, from first-time succulent owners to 200-orchid collectors.

What started as a personal mission became Sol Soils, now trusted by over 4,000 independent retailers across all 50 states, and counting.
